Acceptance
These terms apply to the site and application.
By using SVS or submitting an application, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice. If an applicant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and approve the application and these terms.
SVS is a California sole proprietorship operated by Soham Jani. In these terms, “SVS,” “we,” and “us” refer to that business.
Eligibility and parents
Applicants must be 14 or older.
SVS is for students aged 14 and older. We do not accept applications from children under 14. Students aged 14 through 17 may participate only with a parent or legal guardian’s review and approval. By approving an application, a parent or guardian confirms they have authority to do so and agrees to these terms for themselves and the student to the extent permitted by law.
Applications
Applying is not enrollment.
Provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. An application is a request to be considered, not a promise of admission, enrollment, mentorship, or any particular outcome. SVS may accept, decline, waitlist, or request more information about any application in its discretion. A place is confirmed only when SVS confirms it in writing.
We may use application responses solely to review fit, communicate with applicants and parents or guardians, and administer the cohort as described in the Privacy Notice.
Program expectations
It is active work, not a passive credential.
SVS is an educational and mentoring experience intended to help students clarify a problem, test ideas with real people, and take practical next steps. Students are expected to participate thoughtfully, communicate honestly, and complete agreed work.
SVS is not college admissions counseling, a guarantee of admission or employment, legal, financial, medical, or professional advice, or a promise that any project, venture, or application will succeed.
Payment and refunds
Clear terms before enrollment.
SVS does not offer refunds, and cancellations do not apply once enrollment is confirmed. If the agreed program goals are not met within the four-week sprint, SVS will continue working with the student at no additional cost until those goals are met.
Ideas and materials
Your work remains yours. The program remains SVS’s.
Students retain ownership of their original ideas and project work. You give SVS a limited permission to review and discuss that work only as needed to consider the application, run the cohort, and support the student.
SVS retains all rights in its website, name, logo, frameworks, prompts, curriculum, feedback methods, and other program materials. If accepted into SVS, a student receives a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-commercial permission to use provided materials for their own participation. They may not copy, resell, publish, share, or create competing materials from them without SVS’s written permission.
Conduct
Keep the work respectful and safe.
Do not submit false information, misuse another person’s work or personal information, disrupt the program, harass anyone, or use SVS materials unlawfully. SVS may pause or end access where conduct undermines the safety, integrity, or operation of the program.
Disclaimers
Clear boundaries around outcomes.
SVS is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SVS disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, application, or program.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Law and contact
California law applies.
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, to the extent permitted by law.
